NOSSOS SENIORES BRASILEIROS NO MUNDIAL NA ALEMANHA
A terceira edição do Campeonato Mundial de Boliche de Seniores será realizada no Dream Bowl Palace em Unterföhring, um município da Alemanha, no distrito de Munique, na região administrativa de Oberbayern, estado de Baviera.
O Dream Bowl Palace é o maior centro de boliche da Europa, equipado com 52 pistas Brunswick. A edição deste ano irá estabelecer novos recordes de participação, serão 262 jogadores – 163 homens e 109 mulheres – de 44 países que irão disputar medalhas em cinco fases: Individual, Duplas, Quartetos, All Events e Masters.
A Equipe Brasileira é formada por Luiz Braga (Nasc. 18.02.1963), Eugênio Carvalho (24.07.1953). Jamil Sales (25.10.1960), Márcio Vieira (30.09.1953), Léa Castro (06.02.1958) e Lúcia Vieira (06.04.1957).
Serão cinco Fases INDIVIDUAL, DUPLAS, QUARTETOS, ALL EVENTS e MASTER em duas divisões, Masculina e Feminina.
A equipe mais estrelada é, sem dúvida, a dos Estados Unidos, com grandes campeões da PBA (Professional Bowlers Association) e PWBA (Professional Women Bowlers Association): Parker Bohn III (13.07.1963), Bob Leanr Jr. (11.04.1962), Lennie Boresch (19.05.1962), Ron Mohr (16.02.1956), Tish Johnson (08.02.1962), Leanne Hulsenberg (18.08.1967), Carolyn Dorin-Ballard (29.07.1964) e Lynda Barnes (10.07.1967).
Os treinos oficiais e a Cerimônia de Abertura acontecerão nesta segunda-feira,14 de agosto. A Fase Individual ocorrerá nos dias 15 e 16 de agosto.
