Atenção! O boliche poderá ficar fora dos Jogos Pan-Americanos em 2007?

O boliche é um dos sete esportes não-olímpicos dos jogos do Pan.

A informação recebida diz que Brasil gostaria de eliminar três daqueles sete e de os substituir por três outros esportes. O boliche seria um dos descartados do Pan, provavelmente substituído pelo volei-de-praia ou por outro.

O Brasil, sede do Pan 2007, estaria forçando a substituição do Boliche, um esporte que não lhe deu nenhuma medalha nos jogos anteriores.

Uma reunião do Comitê do Pan acontecerá em abril para decidir quais jogos permanecerão e quais serão substituídos.

Pelo visto isso não será bom para nosso esporte.

Heads Up! Is Bowling in the Pan American Games  In Jeopardy?

Could Bowling  be out of the Pan American Games in Brazil in 2007?  Bowling is one of the seven non-Olympic sports in the Pan American Games.  Information received, says that Brazil would like to eliminate three of those seven and replace them with three new sports.  Bowling may well be one of the three that will be out of the games, replaced by beach  volleyball or some such. Brazil, being the host country, reportedly is pushing for the replacement of Bowling, a sport that they did not medal in in the previous Games.  A meeting of the Pan American committee will take place in April to decide which games may remain and which may be replaced.  From reports, it does not look good for our sport.
